This product is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is a set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Polish manufacturer Aber intended to refine models of German vehicle jerrycans in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched sheet replaces thick plastic details with fine metal elements with crisp edges.
German pressed jerrycans were typical equipment of Wehrmacht vehicles and are often part of the stowage on armored vehicles and trucks. The set adds thin metal elements such as handles, caps and securing straps, which look more convincing on plastic cans than thick injection-molded parts. The parts are cut off the fret and glued onto the cans of the base model.
Glue the photo-etched sheet with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Straps and handles can be bent gently over a metal ruler. Degrease the metal before painting and coat it with a primer. Working with small parts calls for tweezers, calm and good lighting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the cans themselves are not included in the package.
