An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Land-Wasser-Schlepper amphibious tractor in the second generation version (prototype) in 1:35 scale. The set offers a one-piece lower hull, a well worked out running gear with individual link tracks, folding stanchions with wire railings, separate crew hatches and a propeller with its guard.
The Land-Wasser-Schlepper was a German amphibious tractor developed to move cargo and troops between the shore and the water. Two prototypes were built under the second generation program, also known as Panzerfähre, which were to carry a large pontoon between them; the project was closed in 1942 after the prototypes had been tested.
Assemble the running gear and the individual track links first. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints, lay down a primer and paint with an airbrush. On an amphibious vehicle it pays to bring out the mud and water marks with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
