The Rye Field Model Schützenpanzer Puma is a plastic kit of the modern German infantry fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Rye Field Model captures the modern German Schützenpanzer Puma infantry fighting vehicle. The model offers finely executed moldings, photo-etched parts and workable tracks made of individual links; the rubber protective armor on the roof is faithfully rendered as well. The box also contains decals and copper wire. The exact numbers of parts and of marking schemes, however, are not stated here, because they have not been reliably confirmed.
The Puma is one of the most modern infantry fighting vehicles in the world and serves with the German army. It is powered by a compact high-output diesel engine, which gives this roughly forty-ton tracked vehicle good mobility and speed. The vehicle has an unmanned (remotely operated) turret with an automatic cannon and carries an infantry squad under the protection of modern modular armor. It replaced the older Marder infantry fighting vehicles and ranks among the best of current German land systems.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the internal details before you close the hull, so that you can reach everything comfortably. Build and paint the workable tracks separately and fit them at the end. Use a thin model cement on the plastic, sand the joints over and apply a primer. Spray the modern single-color finish or the camouflage with an airbrush and bring it to life with a fine wash in the recesses, accentuated edges and a restrained layer of dust and pigments on the running gear. Leave the rubber parts of the roof in a more matte shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
