1:35 Hessian Net

Jute camouflage net 1:35 (Mantis Miniatures)

A set for creating a realistic jute camouflage net in 1:35 scale, of the kind the crews of military vehicles have used from the Second World War to the present day. It is not a model but an accessory from which you create the net yourself and adapt it to a particular vehicle. The package contains two bags: a fine camouflage mesh in green and three-color textured strips that you fix onto the mesh to create the characteristic jute tatters.

Use

• Making a camouflage net thrown over a hull, a turret or a gun.
• Realistic covering of the outline of a vehicle for dioramas and stand-alone models alike.
• Suitable for equipment of the Second World War and for modern equipment.

Usage tips

The mesh is best soaked in PVA (white) glue thinned with water at roughly one to one, thrown over the model and left to merge with its shape. The colored strips are then fixed onto the net. Apply the net only to a fully painted vehicle, so that it follows its surface naturally.

Who the set is for

• Builders of dioramas with military equipment.
• Modelers who want faithful camouflage without buying a finished net.
• More advanced modelers and handy beginners willing to make the net themselves.

This is an accessory for making a net, not a vehicle kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
