An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Bedford QLT military truck in 1:35 scale from IBG Models. The package contains parts in gray plastic, a decal sheet and illustrated instructions. The model captures the characteristic troop-carrier body on the chassis of the proven Bedford QL series.
The Bedford QL was one of the most widespread British three-ton trucks of the Second World War. Alongside the basic QLD transport version it also served as a tractor, and in the QLT (Troop Carrier) form as an infantry carrier with a lengthened enclosed body for carrying soldiers and their equipment. Bedford QL trucks were built in hundreds of thousands and British as well as Allied forces used them from Normandy on across Western Europe.
Assemble the chassis frame, the engine and the cab carefully first, and only then fit the body. Khaki and olive drab shades suit British equipment; pick out the broken-up surfaces of the canvas and the body with a wash and apply dust and mud pigments to the fenders, the wheels and the underside. Seat the decals on a gloss varnish to suppress silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
