Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet KMT-7 mine roller in its early form, in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. Note: it is not a model of a tank in its own right but an attachment that was fitted to the front of combat vehicles. The kit contains a set of plastic sprues and a representation of a metal chain; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The KMT-7 is a roller trawl intended to clear a lane through a minefield. The heavy rollers pressed down and set off contact anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, so that safe tracks were left behind the vehicle for others to follow. The device was used on a number of Soviet tanks, among them the T-54, T-55 and T-62 families.
Glue the small frames and pins with a thin cement for plastic and clean them up carefully. Leave the chain supplied and the moving parts hanging freely for a realistic look. A trawl tends to be heavily dusted and muddied, so it pays to apply washes and pigments for mud and dust effects; the whole should match the color scheme of the parent tank.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is an accessory, not a model of a tank. Glue, paints and the vehicle are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
