A figure of a sailor of the Kriegsmarine of the Second World War period in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kriegsmarine was the German war navy of the Second World War. Its members served on surface ships, on submarines and with coastal batteries, so a figure of a sailor suits an equally wide range of scenes: on a deck, by a gun, on a jetty beside a moored craft or by a part-built model of a submarine. In 1:35 scale an adult figure measures around five centimeters, which is a size at which both the expression of the face and the cut of the uniform can be seen.
One figure of a Kriegsmarine sailor in 1:35 scale. How many parts it is made up of and how the individual sections are joined is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The figure is intended for assembly and painting according to your own idea of the resulting scene.
Cut any excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder back carefully, so that the folds of the cloth stay whole. Fill and sand the seams where the arms and the head join, otherwise they show once painted. Before painting, wash the figure, degrease it and apply a primer. Paint the face and the hands first and only then the uniform; the opposite order leads to smearing flesh color over the dark cloth. Finally, bring out the shade of the uniform with a darker wash in the folds and a gentle lightening of the raised areas.
For modelers of ships and submarines who feel a finished model lacks human scale, and for builders of dioramas with a harbor or coastal scene. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
