A resin figure of an officer of the LSSAH unit from the Ardennes offensive in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mantis Miniatures. The single figure is cast in resin and intended to be finished by brush and set into a winter diorama. Work with resin suits advanced modelers.
The Ardennes offensive at the turn of 1944 and 1945 was the last large German attacking operation on the Western Front. Battle groups of the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH) took part in it in the winter conditions of the snow-covered Ardennes. The officer figure will fit into scenes with armored vehicles and infantry of this period.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is practical to paint the figure before the final assembly; a primer, shaded layers of acrylic or oil paint and bringing out the face and the uniform with glazing and a dry brush all prove their worth.
The figures are supplied unpainted and cast in resin, intended to be glued and finished by brush. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
