The M2 Browning is the legendary American 12.7 mm heavy machine gun, in use from the Second World War to this day. In both the anti-aircraft and the ground role it was mounted on tanks, armored personnel carriers, jeeps and fixed mounts. Thanks to its long service it is a rewarding detail for practically all Allied and postwar vehicles. It is often exactly a well-made machine gun that decides the final impression a vehicle model gives: a crude weapon from the box easily spoils a finished piece, whereas a finely shaped M2 with a well-worked cradle lifts a model considerably.
The set serves to bring existing vehicle models or dioramas in 1:35 scale to life and complete them; it replaces the coarser weapons from the box on tanks, carriers and vehicles. Cut the small parts off carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the weapon a dark steel color, bring out the edges with drybrushing and metal wear, and finish the fabric belts and ammunition boxes in matching shades.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
