This is not a model but a small diorama accessory - the M38 gas mask canister of the German army in 1:35 scale. It is made by the Czech brand Firma49 by high-resolution SLA 3D printing, which gives it sharp, fine detail - above all the typical ribbing of the body, which is hard to do in injection-molded plastic. Pieces of kit like this are what bring a figure or a vehicle to life: a canister slung on a figure's strap, left in a trench or tied to a tank makes the difference between a model and a scene from the front. This part is also made in the smaller 1:48 scale - for smaller figures and vehicles take the 1:48 version, for standard figure builds stay with this 1:35 one.
The M38 was a cylindrical, ribbed sheet metal canister in which German soldiers of the Second World War carried the GM38 gas mask. The characteristic corrugated body with a lid at one end and a carrying strap was an unmistakable part of field kit across all branches - the canister was carried over the shoulder on the back or at the side and is one of the most typical details of the German soldier of that time.
Carefully separate the resin 3D-printed part from the print supports with a sharp knife, do not snap it off - small parts are fragile. Bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After a coat of primer the ribbing of the body stands out with its shadows; a dark wash in the recesses and light metal rubs on the edges help the realism.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
