1:35 MH-60S - unfolded main rotor (3D Printed) is a printed replacement for the main rotor in the unfolded, that is, flight position. It is an addition to a kit, not a model of the helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set made by 3D printing that replaces the main rotor on a model of the MH-60S shipboard helicopter in 1:35 scale. The rotor is rendered in the unfolded position, as the machine has it ready for takeoff or in flight. Printing makes it possible to draw the rotor head out to its real fineness: the blade hinges, the dampers, the pitch links and their mountings have a shape that would have to be simplified in injection-molded plastic. The set is not a model of the helicopter.
The MH-60S is an American shipboard helicopter that combines the airframe of the army Black Hawk with the powerplant and rotor system of the naval Seahawk family. It serves for vertical replenishment of ships, for rescuing crews, for mine countermeasures and for supporting special forces. The rotor head on machines of this family is exceptionally busy, and on a model it is one of the first places a viewer looks.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the face with a file or a scalpel; pliers would snap the thin section. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, or the print texture will show through the finish. Fit the blades dry and check that they are all at the same angle, and only then fix them.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
