A detailed model of the French rifled towed mortar of 120 mm caliber, model F1, in 1:35 scale. It is an all-resin set from the Czech maker CMK, which can be assembled in the firing position as well as in the position for transport. Given the character of resin it is meant rather for more experienced modelers.
The MO-120-RT-61 is a heavy mortar of French origin with a rifled barrel, which raises accuracy and range compared with smooth-bore mortars. The weapon is transported hitched behind a vehicle and is set up on its baseplate before firing. Besides the French army a number of other countries adopted or built it under license, so it suits a whole range of modern scenes.
Wash the mold release off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Decide in advance whether you will build the model in the firing or the transport position. After applying primer, paint with an airbrush and add the patina with washes and pigments to suit the setting of its deployment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
