Voyager Model 1:35 CIP identification panels for the Challenger 2 is a photo-etched brass set of combat identification panels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass set representing the CIP combat identification panels for models of the British Challenger 2 main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory. The panels were mounted around the vehicle as an aid against friendly fire. The set is conceived universally for models of the Challenger 2.
The Challenger 2 is a British main battle tank deployed, among other places, in Iraq. The CIP panels, fitted above all during operations in Iraq, stood out in the thermal and the visual spectrum and lowered the risk of being mistaken for an enemy vehicle. They are characteristic plates on the sides and the rear of the tank.
Separate the panels and their frames with a sharp knife and form any bends with a bending tool. Glue the brass with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal before painting and lay on a base for metal.
This is a detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
