About product

Voyager Model 1:35 Leclerc series 2 MBT (upgrade set)

A photo-etched upgrade set from the company Voyager Model made for a model of the modern French Leclerc series 2 main battle tank in 1:35 scale. The set adds fine etched metal parts that replace simplified plastic features and increase the fidelity of the model.

The real subject

The Leclerc is a modern French main battle tank (MBT) with a 120 mm smoothbore gun, an autoloader and advanced armor protection. The series 2 version brought improvements to the electronics and the protection. It serves in the French army and abroad.

Use and tips

  • Separate the parts with a sharp knife and form the bends on a photo-etch bender.
  • Glue with super glue or two-part epoxy.
  • The set typically adds grilles, covers, fenders and fine armor fittings.
  • Degrease the parts before painting for better paint adhesion.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers of modern military vehicles.
  • Builders aiming for the maximum degree of detail.

This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
