A hand grenade is a small thing that gives a scene tension: tucked behind a belt, laid on the edge of a trench or spilled out of a crate, it says that a fight is expected here. The set contains twenty resin parts, so it is enough even to fill an open crate or to equip several figures. The decal sheet included adds the period markings that turn a gray casting into real ammunition. It is not a kit but an accessory for a scene.
According to the manufacturer the package contains twenty resin castings and a decal sheet. A crate, figures, paints and glue are not included. The parts have to be cut from the casting blocks.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the surfaces up with a file, and sand with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Paint the metal parts dark and pick the wooden handles out in a warmer tone, so that it shows what is made of what. Apply the decals onto a gloss surface and then unify the whole with matte varnish.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
