Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:32 scale from HäT. The box holds eight riders in four poses and eight horses, with command figures added. The plastic is unpainted and the riders have to be seated on the horses. The set belongs to the Punic branch of the range in this scale, where the manufacturer offers Carthaginian as well as Roman infantry and cavalry.
The Numidian cavalry was the finest light horse of its day. The riders came from North Africa, rode without saddle or bridle, controlled the horse with the knee and a short collar, and fought with a bundle of javelins. Their strength lay in speed and in constant harassment of the enemy. At Cannae they fought for Hannibal; fourteen years later at Zama they fought alongside Rome, and it was their change of side that decided the battle.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. A rider without a saddle sits on the horse differently than later cavalry, so test the fit dry and, if need be, sand the inner side of the thighs lightly. Paint the clothing in muted white and beige with a colored border. The javelins are thin, so glue them on at the very end. The 1:32 scale takes painted faces and small ornaments.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
