Kelik 1:35 – color 3D interior decals for the Opel Blitz 3t 4x2 replace painting the cab. Intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the vehicle but a set of color three-dimensional decals for the interior of the cab. The box states that they are cut for the Tamiya kit. The Ukrainian brand Kelik prints decals with relief on a carrier film, so that once they are applied the instrument panel and other surfaces show raised detail as well as colors that would have to be painted laboriously. On a truck with the doors open or the window wound down the cab is clearly visible.
The Opel Blitz was the most widespread German truck of the Second World War. The version with a three-ton payload and rear-axle drive was the basic type, which carried supplies, ammunition and troops and served as the chassis for bodies ranging from ambulance to radio. A whole range of special vehicles was built on this chassis as well. The cab has a simple instrument panel with a few instruments and wooden trim in period versions, so fine color detail on it stands out.
Spray the interior parts with the base color of the cab first and let them dry completely, because a decal will not settle on paint that is not fully dry. Degrease the surfaces before applying. Transfer the decals with tweezers and press with a cotton swab from the center toward the edges so that no air bubble is left. Read the application procedure in the enclosed instructions, as it differs between the individual types of decal. Do not give the finished interior a gloss coat; a matte surface looks more convincing.
The set contains decals only. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
