Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzerbefehlswagen IV Ausf.J command tank in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The model captures the late command version of the Panzer IV with a coating of Zimmerit, the anti-magnetic paste that kept adhesive mines from sticking. The package holds photo-etched parts; check the exact contents, the number of marking options and the accessories against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Panzerbefehlswagen IV was the command conversion of the standard Panzer IV Ausf.J. It carried extra radio stations, further antennas and an auxiliary generator, which meant the ammunition load had to be cut back. It served the commanders of armored units for directing the battle. The vehicles were built on the chassis of the late Ausf.J version with side armor skirts (Schürzen) and were fielded in the closing phase of the war.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the interior before you close the hull. Pay attention to the Zimmerit texture, as it guides the weathering later on. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After spraying the late-war camouflage (dark yellow with green and brown patches), bring out the relief of the Zimmerit and the panel lines with a wash and add dust and mud pigments to the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
