Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy tank Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.E Tiger I in the very earliest production configuration (Initial Production) in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The model captures the characteristic features of the first production examples and contains individual DS tracks in three lengths as well as decals for the tanks of the s.Pz.Abt.502 unit deployed near Leningrad in the winter of 1942 to 1943.
The s.Pz.Abt.502 was the first unit to take the new Tiger I into battle. It was formed in August 1942 and fought with its tanks on the Leningrad front. The early examples differed from the later versions in a number of details of the hull, the turret and the running gear, and they did not carry the anti-magnetic Zimmerit paste. The decals offer several period schemes including an overall gray finish and winter camouflage.
Glue the parts and the tracks with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the running gear and the track runs first, and only then close up the hull. The early examples were usually overall gray; paint with an airbrush over a primer, pick out the panels with a wash and, on the winter scheme, suggest the wear of the sprayed whitewash. Apply pigments to the running gear for dust, mud and snow.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
