An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.E Tiger I heavy tank in the Mid Production version in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The key advantage is the faithfully reproduced coating of Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste directly on the parts of the hull and the turret, which does away with applying it laboriously by hand. The box also holds photo-etched parts and DS flexible tracks.
The Tiger I was one of the most feared heavy tanks of the Second World War. It was armed with an 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun and two MG34 machine guns, and the frontal armor reached up to 110 mm. The mid production version carried the characteristic Zimmerit and a number of production changes compared with the early examples. The model refers to service on the Eastern Front in 1944.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and use super glue for the photo-etched parts. Finish the running gear and the flexible tracks first, and only then close up the hull. The relief of the Zimmerit comes out after a base coat and the main color; emphasize it with a wash into the recesses and a dry brush, and apply pigments to the running gear for dust and mud.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
