A container for sorted waste in 1:35 scale. This is a standalone accessory for a diorama or for a display case, not a vehicle kit. In a scene it fills the same role as in a real street: it takes up a corner, marks out space and reveals that somebody passes this way.
In civilian scenes from the present and the recent past, that is by an apartment block, at the edge of a parking lot, in a yard behind a workshop or at the back entrance of a shop. It also works well as a screen behind which a figure or the wheel of a vehicle is partly hidden. The scene thereby gains depth and the viewer's eye has a way of coming down from the main model to the ground.
Before gluing, check what material the parts are made of. On a material other than polystyrene, ordinary cement for plastic has no effect and only cyanoacrylate glue will hold the joint. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest back. Before painting, wash the surface and degrease it, or the paint holds badly. Apply the base shade in thin layers, then play the surface up with a darker glaze into the pressings and bring out the edges with a dry brush. A container in use is rarely clean or undamaged: scuffed paint, greasy smears around the lid and a deposit of dust at ground level belong with it. Keep the degree of wear in check, though, so that the accessory does not overpower the main model of the scene.
