The model captures the low tracked hull and the rotating turret with the 122 mm howitzer. It is a fairly extensive kit; the package usually holds photo-etched and clear parts, and the exact contents should be taken from the instructions supplied.
The 2S1 Gvozdika is a Soviet and Russian tracked self-propelled howitzer of 122 mm caliber. It is based on the chassis of the amphibious MT-LB carrier, thanks to which it too can swim, using its tracks to move through water. The rotating turret carries a howitzer capable of indirect fire against area and point targets. The type spread through many armies and remains in active service to this day.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull and fitting the turret. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; you can bring the green scheme to life by lightening the panels, with washes into the recesses and with pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
