An injection-molded plastic kit of the experimental Soviet Object 477 XM2 tank in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. It is new tooling with the characteristic turret and the intricate running gear faithfully rendered. The package also holds basic photo-etched parts and decals. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
Object 477 was an advanced Soviet tank project of the late Cold War period, meant to push the limits of firepower, protection and mobility. It allowed for composite armor and a powerful gun. The vehicle stayed at the prototype stage and was not put into production, but it represents an interesting development branch of Soviet armor.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic and the fine photo-etched elements with super glue. Finish the running gear before closing the hull. We recommend a primer as the ground, the base shade with an airbrush and then washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
