Plastic kit of the 1:35 Russian ZU-23-2 Anti-Aircraft Gun from Trumpeter — the towed twin anti-aircraft gun of 23 mm caliber.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet and Russian towed twin anti-aircraft gun ZU-23-2 of 23 mm caliber. The set contains the parts of the weapon, the two-wheeled carriage and photo-etched elements; the model is built from individual parts and is meant to be glued and painted.
The ZU-23-2 is a light towed anti-aircraft mount with two automatic guns of 23 mm caliber. It folds out onto three outriggers into the firing position and is used against low-flying targets as well as for firing at ground targets. Thanks to its simplicity and reliability it is exceptionally widespread and is still in use today.
The weapon can be built in the traveling as well as the firing position — think it through before you glue the outriggers and the wheels. Deburr the small parts of the barrels and the sights carefully. An airbrush with a base coat suits the finish, along with washes to bring out the mechanism and fine pigments. The model is a rewarding addition to a diorama, either on its own or on the bed of a vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
