Hobby Boss 1:35 Schneider CA (armored version) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the first French tank of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Hobby Boss represents the French tank Schneider CA in its armored version in 1:35 scale. The model offers divided upper armor, a one-piece lower tub, separately shaped hatches, individual track links, separate on-board tools and photo-etched parts including the grille over the engine.
The Schneider CA1 was the first French tank and was widely committed in the closing years of the First World War. Its debut on 16 April 1917 ended with heavy losses, but later deployments were more successful. In 1918 Schneider tanks played an important part in stopping the German spring offensive. The vehicle carried a short 75 mm gun in the right side and two 8 mm machine guns.
The individual track links call for patience; assemble them in longer runs. For period camouflage schemes an airbrush over a colored base coat (primer) on the plastic works well, rounded out with a wash and dust effects in pigments. You can bring out the riveted surfaces with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
