A detail set from the Polish firm Aber for 1:35 scale containing fine metal smoke dischargers (turned and photo-etched parts) that replace the coarse plastic components of a kit. It is not a model or a vehicle kit but a finishing accessory for a more faithful look on a completed model. The set is intended for models of German tanks and armored vehicles such as the Tiger I, the Panther A/D, the Panzer III, the Panzer IV, the Luchs and the Puma.
Smoke dischargers, the launcher tubes for smoke grenades, were mounted on the turrets or sides of German vehicles to lay a smoke screen. Turned metal tubes and fine photo-etched holders look far more realistic than a solid plastic imitation, and thanks to the wide range of subjects the set can be used on a whole series of German models.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and form them with a bending tool or tweezers. Glue the turned tubes together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer. Work in a well-ventilated room.
This is a finishing accessory for advanced modelers. The product itself is neither a model nor a kit, and the base vehicle model is not included in the package.
