About product

Soviet artillery limber 52-R-353M Mod.1942 1:35 (Miniart)

An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet 52-R-353M artillery limber of the 1942 pattern in 1:35 scale. The package holds finely rendered parts and the components of a horse team. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

The real subject

The 52-R-353M limber was among the most widespread Soviet artillery limbers of the Second World War. It served to carry ammunition and to couple light guns for towing by a horse team as well as by mechanical traction. It was a simple but essential part of the field artillery of the Red Army.

Building and painting tips

Clean the small parts up and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. The kit allows assembly for a horse team and for mechanical towing alike. For a faithful look a base coat, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments suit it, bringing out the wooden and metal parts and suggesting dust.

Who the model is for

  • Anyone interested in Soviet field artillery
  • Builders of dioramas with a horse team
  • Modelers adding guns and towing vehicles in 1:35
  • Collectors of historic artillery equipment

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
