This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter represents the launch module of the mobile 3K60 BAL coastal anti-ship complex (NATO code SSC-6) on a heavy wheeled chassis. The extensive set contains a large number of parts, photo-etched parts and copper wire for detailed work.
The 3K60 BAL is a modern Russian mobile coastal defense system intended to destroy surface ships, boats and landing craft with anti-ship guided missiles. The self-propelled launcher carries a bank of containers with missiles and is fully mobile, which allows it to change its firing position quickly. The system is among the most modern coastal defense assets.
Assemble the suspension, the engine and the axles first, and only then close up the superstructure. Paint the missile containers and the hydraulics of the launch module separately. An airbrush is recommended for even coverage, followed by washes and pigments to bring out the panels and to create dust effects. Mask the cab glazing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
