This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Soviet T-64A main battle tank in its 1981 production form. The model in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit meant to be glued and finished.
The T-64A was a Soviet main battle tank armed with a 125 mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader, which reduced the number of crew members. The vehicle introduced composite armor and had a low silhouette. The version from the beginning of the 1980s corresponds to the later standard with small changes to the external equipment and protection.
With a vehicle of this type it is advisable to assemble the running gear and the tracks first and only then to close the hull. Thin cement for plastic, a primer undercoat and an airbrush all work well. The uniform Soviet finish is brought to life by washes in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
