A set of 167 spent 35 mm cartridge cases for the Gepard and the Oerlikon GDF, 1:35 scale from Spalah. 3D-printed resin.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are small diorama accessories, not a model of a weapon: spent 35 mm cartridge cases of the kind left behind by the German Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft system and by the Oerlikon GDF towed gun in its 005 and 007 versions, in 1:35 scale. The box states 167 pieces. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its parts from photopolymer resin.
Among Western anti-aircraft armament, 35 mm is the caliber for close-in defense: the twin-barrel Gepard on a Leopard tank chassis and the towed Oerlikon GDF both fire at a high rate and have radar fire control. Cases of this caliber are considerably larger than the Soviet 23 mm ones, so on a diorama they are not just a heap but a recognizable object.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away carefully and work with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), or with a small drop of PVA glue (white glue) if you only want to scatter them over the ground. Paint them in a brass shade over a dark base and then wash the heap with a dark color, so that the individual cases do not merge into one shiny block.
This is an accessory, not a kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
