An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Stryker wheeled armored personnel carrier in the M1296 Dragoon version, in 1:35 scale. This is the basic form of that version, that is without the later situational awareness upgrade, which is offered as a separate set from the same maker.
The Stryker is an eight-wheeled armored vehicle of the American army, built for moving infantry quickly under its own power. The original carrier had only a remotely operated machine gun, which proved too little against a better armed opponent. The M1296 Dragoon version therefore received a remotely operated turret with a 30 mm automatic cannon that can deal with lightly armored targets, while the space for the dismounting infantry was kept. Thanks to its wheels the vehicle is fast on the road and easy to maintain.
Paint the wheels separately and fit them last, otherwise you will not be able to reach around the hubs. Assemble the turret on its own and seat it on the hull only after painting. Modern American vehicles tend to be single-color, so color modulation, a discreet wash in the seams and dust applied in the lower third of the vehicle will bring the large surfaces to life. Apply chipping only where the crew really moves, that is around the hatches and the boarding points.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
