The continuation of the photo-etched set for the StuG III Ausf. G 1:35 from Royal Model, with a further helping of fine metal parts. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second package of the pair the brand prepared for this assault gun. It concentrates on the details for which there was no room in the opening part and, like that one, it assumes an ordinary plastic kit in 1:35 scale. Having both is not a condition, but together they give the vehicle a really dense surface. It follows the dimensions of the Tamiya kit.
The Sturmgeschütz was originally created as armored artillery support for infantry, that is a vehicle without a turret with its weapon in the hull, which was cheaper to produce and lower than a tank. The war, though, moved it elsewhere: with the long barrel it became above all an anti-tank weapon and it reached units everywhere tanks were lacking. It also served with Germany's allies, among others in Finland, where the crews invented a nickname of their own for it and where several examples have survived to this day.
Bare metal repels paint, so start with a thin coat of primer from a spray can or an airbrush. The skirts deserve worn places and dents; fine sheets can be carefully crumpled with the handle of a scalpel. Apply dust and mud from the bottom upward, so that the transition looks natural.
Inside you will find metal parts, not a finished model; chemicals and finishes are dealt with separately.
