This is a detail photo-etched set from the Polish manufacturer Aber for models of the early versions of the German Sturmgeschütz III assault gun (Ausf.B, C and D) in 1:35 scale. The package contains fine parts of etched brass sheet, among them fenders, brackets, tool clamps and supports, which replace the coarser plastic elements. Note: it is not a model of the vehicle but a metal accessory for a plastic kit you have already bought.
The Sturmgeschütz III was a German assault gun built on the chassis of the Panzer III. The early versions Ausf.B to D carried a short-barreled 75 mm gun and were intended above all for direct fire support of the infantry. They were marked out by their low silhouette with no rotating turret, with the gun in a fixed superstructure.
The photo-etched parts are cut off with a sharp knife or with special scissors, bent over a photo-etch bending tool and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy. The fender supports are bent and glued in place, and thin metal fenders then allow a more faithful shape than thicker plastic. Degrease the metal and prime it before painting.
This is a photo-etched metal accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
