1:35 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb painting masks from 1 Man Army

This is a set of high-definition painting masks for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter in 1:35 scale. The masks let you create national insignia, squadron codes and small technical lettering by spraying paint instead of using conventional decals. The result looks like part of the paint, with no glossy decal film and no risk of silvering. The masks are cut for the Border Model kit.

Use

• Transfer the mask onto degreased, cured paint and press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot creep under them.
• Apply thin coats of paint, ideally with an airbrush, so that no thick edges build up.
• Once the paint is dry, lift the mask off carefully; apply the fine inner islands separately.
• Suitable for single-color insignia as well as for multicolor lettering done with step-by-step masking.

• Modelers who want realistic flat markings without decals.
• More experienced builders used to working with an airbrush and masks.
• Builds with heavy surface weathering, where a decal would look out of place.

The set contains masks only. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package. Ventilate while spraying and use respiratory protection.
