An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in the Model 1944 version in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The set captures the definitive production configuration with the three-man turret and tends to be completed with photo-etched parts and individual track links; the exact package contents differ between editions.
The T-34/85 came about by fitting the proven T-34 chassis with a new, larger turret with the powerful 85 mm ZiS-S-53 gun. The roomier three-man turret freed the commander from serving the weapon and fundamentally improved combat effectiveness. The Model 1944 version became the most widespread production variant and, in mass numbers, bore the main weight of the fighting in the closing stage of the Second World War.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the hull. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; the uniform shade of Russian green is typical, and you can bring it to life with a filter and by lightening the upper surfaces. You can create a worn surface with washes in the welds, pigments for mud effects and fine chipping of the paint on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
