1:35 Tiling from Royal Model is a paved surface for interior floors, passageways and yards in a diorama scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paved surface is the foundation an interior scene stands on, quite literally. This Royal Model accessory brings it in 1:35 scale, and a room floor, a covered passageway or a hard-surfaced yard can be built from it.
A stone or ceramic floor suits ruined houses, churches, public buildings, station halls and workshops. In a cutaway of a building it forms the horizontal plane everything else is then related to, and outdoors it separates a hard surface from bare earth. A regular pattern is also rewarding in itself: a missing piece, a crack or, on the contrary, an intact island in the middle of rubble creates a tension that would be hard to achieve on a smooth floor.
Never paint all the pieces the same. Choose two or three close shades and distribute them irregularly over the surface, otherwise the pattern looks printed. Deal with the joints using a thin dark solution that flows in by itself, and wipe the excess off with a damp cloth before it dries. Settle the dust and grit into the corners and along the walls, because that is exactly where they pile up in an abandoned building; the middle of a room, by contrast, tends to be worn and lighter.
Paints are not enclosed; the modeler chooses them.
