A diorama structure of a brick transformer station in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of equipment but an architectural element of a scene. The set is made up of accurately cast plaster parts (in the newer editions a harder ceramic variant) completed by laser-cut elements. The compact building is a rewarding city and industrial accessory, which will give a scene scale and a story.
Transformer stations were an ordinary part of towns, railroad stations and factory grounds. In a diorama one will serve as cover, as a landmark or as a background for vehicles and figures, and it offers flat walls ideal for weathering, flaking plaster and lettering.
Plaster is easy to cut, drill and sand, and thanks to its absorbency it takes acrylic paints, washes and pigments excellently. You will glue the parts with PVA or cyanoacrylate glue, and the laser-cut parts with wood glue. The castings are brittle, so handle them carefully; cracks are easily filled. Sand and prime the surface before painting.
The structure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
