MiniArt U.S. Horsemen. Normandy 1944 (1:35) is an injection-molded plastic set of two US Army horsemen and two horses from the fighting in Normandy in 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure set in 1:35 scale from MiniArt contains two injection-molded plastic horsemen in US Army uniforms and two horses. It is a classic set suitable for bringing dioramas of the fighting in Normandy in 1944 to life. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted on the sprues.
American units used horses during the Second World War as well, especially in broken terrain, for liaison, reconnaissance and movement in places that motor vehicles reached only with difficulty. The uniforms and equipment match the period of the summer campaign in northwestern Europe in 1944. The combination of rider and horse is a rewarding subject that gives a scene both movement and a sense of scale.
The parts are joined with ordinary plastic modeling cement. Before painting we recommend a primer, then an airbrush or a brush. On the horses, glazing and layering of the coat shades will stand out, and on the uniforms dry-brushing and light washes help bring out the folds. Faces and small details are finished off with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
