The set of figures 1:35 U.S. tank crew WWII will fill the turret and hull hatches of an American armored vehicle of the western front with a group of resin figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The resin figures in 1:35 scale from the Italian brand Royal Model make up a group with different poses: one man is looking out, a second is leaning on the edge of a hatch, another is making a report. The set therefore offers a finished vehicle a story, not just a human sense of scale.
The standard crew of an American medium tank numbered five men: the commander, the gunner, the loader, the driver and his assistant at the machine gun. From the summer of 1944 these crews advanced through the Normandy bocage, the Ardennes and the Rhineland. Their working dress settled on the winter jacket with a knitted collar and cuffs and on the light leather helmet with cutouts for headphones, which protected the head against a knock inside the vehicle and not against splinters.
First free the castings of mold release agent with lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw rather than with nippers, because resin cracks. Leather helmets will take a glossier finish than textile, which helps to tell the materials apart. Let the khaki tone of the jacket fade on the shoulders and the back, where the sun ruined the cloth, and suggest the oil stain on the trousers with a dark glaze.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled.
