A rocket pod is a container of unguided rockets carried under the wing, on a pylon or under a helicopter. It fires a salvo of rockets and serves for area fire against ground targets: it is not a precision weapon but a weapon of area effect. The UB-32A-24 is an Eastern Bloc weapon of Soviet, or rather Russian, design, loaded with 32 unguided 57 mm rockets of the S-5 family. This is the crucial distinction: do not confuse it with Western (American) pods of the LAU type. An American rocket pod under a Mi-24 makes no sense, and the same applies the other way round.
A rocket pod is essentially a cylinder with dozens of tubes, and that is exactly where injection-molded plastic fails: there the tubes are usually blanked off, shallow and thick-walled. 3D printing can produce genuinely open, deep tubes with thin rims, and the difference on the model is visible at once. It is one of the most rewarding details you can add to a helicopter. Dark shading inside the tubes reinforces the effect still further.
Resin and 3D-printed parts cannot be glued with polystyrene cement, because it does not soften them: use cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Before painting, wash the parts in soapy water so that no print resin residue stays on the surface and the paint does not peel. The dust from sanding is harmful to health: sand wet and do not inhale it. The thin tube rims and the lugs are fragile and break easily, so fit them at the very end of the build, after the machine has been painted.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
