An injection-molded plastic kit of the American K-51 signals truck with the K-52 trailer from the manufacturer Miniart, and in the Interior Kit version with a richly detailed interior. The package contains photo-etched parts, clear plastic parts and a decal sheet with several options. The vehicle carried a radio set, and the K-52 trailer then carried a generator and supplies.
The K-51 vehicle came about as the closed box-body version of an American truck, and signals units used it as a mobile radio station. The K-52 trailer carried a power generator and jerrycans and supplied the equipment of the truck. The combination served the signals units of the American army to keep communications going in the field.
The interior version calls for building in layers: first finish and paint the internal equipment, the engine compartment and the chassis, and only then close the box body up. Depending on the version, the doors can be shown open. Use a primer, an airbrush and fine washes to bring the details out; the interior comes to life with restrained weathering and instrument decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
