US Marines sergeant, Hue City, Vietnam 1:35 — a resin figure from CMK depicting a member of the US Marine Corps from the fighting for Hue.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker CMK. It represents a sergeant of the US Marine Corps during the urban fighting for Hue in the Vietnam War. It suits display on its own as well as a diorama; it is supplied unglued and unpainted.
The fighting for the city of Hue was among the hardest engagements of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The figure is based on the field uniform and gear of US Marine Corps personnel of that period.
The figure consists of several resin parts, with the head and arms usually cast separately. Before gluing, wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, cut away the casting blocks and level the mating surfaces. The parts are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue; do any sanding with respiratory protection. We recommend laying down a primer and painting with acrylic paints by brush or airbrush; washes and a dry brush bring out the face and the folds of the fabric.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
