This is not a kit, but a photo-etched metal set of accessories intended to refine a plastic model of the American experimental T57 heavy tank in 1:35 scale. The Basic version concentrates on the key exterior details, which tend to be simplified as they come in injection-molded plastic. The photo-etched parts of thin metal sheet offer the sharp edges and faithful shapes that plastic cannot reach. The parts are shaped for the Takom 2203 kit, which has to be obtained separately.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, and make the bends over the etched score lines using an etch bender or two rulers. They are bonded with superglue (cyanoacrylate), and thin cement can be used on small joints. Before painting, degrease the surface and lay down a primer suitable for metal.
The set holds photo-etched accessories only, not the model itself, the glue or the paints.
