Turned vehicle width indicators in 1:35 scale for the German half-tracks Sd.Kfz.250 and Sd.Kfz.251. They replace thin rods that come out of the mold too thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German half-tracks Sd.Kfz.250 and Sd.Kfz.251 carried thin vertical rods on the front of the vehicle by which the driver judged the outline and the width of the machine. In narrow streets, off road and in poor visibility this was a practical aid for not catching an obstacle. On a model these rods stand out precisely because they are so fine, so the difference between the thicker kit part and an accurate replacement is visible at first glance.
Turned width indicators in 1:35 scale. Turning holds a constant diameter over the whole length and allows even a point to be formed, which an injection mold cannot manage. The parts replace components from the kit; they do not make a model on their own. The number of pieces and their position on a particular vehicle are given in the manufacturer's instructions and in the documentation for the kit.
Mark the seating point in advance, and if you are gluing the part into a hole, drill it with a micro drill only once the rough work on the body is finished, so that the thin part does not snap off during sanding. A minute amount of super glue applied with the tip of a wire is enough for bonding. Before painting, wash the part, degrease it and prime it, otherwise the surface rubs off during handling. Fit the rods at the very end, that is after painting and after removing the masks, because they are the most vulnerable elements of the whole model.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
