Kubelwagen Type 82 wheels, standard pattern 1, 1:35 from Voyager Model: printed replacement wheels in resin. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
On a model of a military vehicle a wheel is a detail that shows at once. A molded plastic part tends to have soft tread, mold seams and a tire with no give. This set offers a replacement made by 3D printing from resin, on which the tread and the lettering on the sidewall are crisper and on which the load on the vehicle can be rendered as well. It is an accessory for a model, not a vehicle kit.
The Volkswagen Type 82, nicknamed the Kubelwagen, was a light off-road car of the German army built on the basis of the people's car. It was powered by an air-cooled four-cylinder engine at the rear and, despite driving only one axle, it coped with mud and snow thanks to its low weight and smooth underside. The wheels went through several patterns during the war, differing in the pressing of the disc and in the tread of the tire.
Cut the parts off the supports with a sharp scalpel and level the contact surface with a fine file, so that the wheel sits square. They are glued with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate. The rubber looks faithful if you paint it not fully black but dark gray and finish the surface with pigments to match the ground the vehicle stands on. Bring the lettering on the sidewall out with dry-brushing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
