This brass photo-etched set serves to improve the detail of plastic models of the German self-propelled guns that share one chassis, the Nashorn, the Hornisse and the Hummel, in 1:35 scale. It concentrates on the fenders and the floor of the fighting compartment. It is not a model but an accessory for the Dragon 6150, 6165, 6166, 6204 and 6314 kits; the basic kit is not included in the package.
Photo-etch gives the fenders a realistic thin gauge and adds the treadplate of the floor, clips and grab handles that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic. The model then looks more accurate and finer than it does out of the box.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat, bend them with a photo-etch bending tool and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Finish the floor and the interior before closing the hull up. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with primer for metal.
This is a detail set, not a model. The basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
