This is a detail upgrade set in 1:35 scale for a model of the American M18 Hellcat tank destroyer. It is not a kit in its own right but a set of mostly photo-etched metal parts (a metal gun barrel is usually included) that replaces the coarser plastic features with more accurate metal ones. It sharpens up above all the fenders, the grilles, the grab handles, the lifting eyes and the small features of the open turret. The target kit is the Tamiya 35376.
The M18 Hellcat was an American tank destroyer of the Second World War, valued for its exceptional speed. In its open rotating turret it carried a 76 mm gun and relied on mobility rather than on heavy armor. It was used on the Western Front in the closing stage of the war.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, bend them along a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or epoxy. Fix the metal gun barrel, if it is included, with super glue as well. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. The open turret of the vehicle benefits from thin metal walls and grilles.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
