Plastic kit of the famous English galleon Golden Hind in 1:350 scale from Zvezda. The model is designed as snap-fit - the parts join by clicking together without glue, and decals are included. It can be built as a full-hull model on a small stand or in the waterline version.
The Golden Hind was a small galleon in which Sir Francis Drake, between 1577 and 1580, became the first Englishman to sail round the world. The ship originally bore the name Pelican and became famous for voyages of discovery and privateering in the Elizabethan era. Because of that role she ranks among the best-known sailing ships in English history.
Separate the small parts carefully and clean them up. Even though the model joins without glue, the joints of the hull and the masts can be secured for strength. The hull and the decks will show to advantage once painted and with the wood texture gently picked out; add the rigging and the yards with thread for a convincing look. The small scale calls for a steady hand and a fine brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It joins without glue (snap-fit), and paints and accessories are not included in the package.
