1:350 Russian Navy Tsesarevich Battleship 1904 is a kit of the Russian pre-dreadnought battleship with a full hull, photo-etch and a display stand.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian battleship Tsesarevich as she was in 1904, in 1:350 scale. The hull is a full one, that is including the underwater part, and it is made up of two parts. The set contains a photo-etched fret with funnel gratings, railings, ladders, companionways and boat details, plus a display stand and an engraved nameplate for the ship. The finished model measures roughly thirty-four centimeters.
The Tsesarevich was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the Russian imperial fleet, built in France at the end of the nineteenth century. You will recognize her by the markedly narrowed upper sides, which slope inward toward the deck. In the Russo-Japanese War she served at Port Arthur, and in the Battle of the Yellow Sea she flew the flag of Admiral Vitgeft. After the battle the ship failed to break through and was interned at Tsingtao. Her design influenced further Russian battleships of the same period.
Glue the hull and fill the joint carefully before you start on the superstructures. Attach the photo-etched railings at the very end, otherwise you will keep catching on them during the build. The masts and yards are thin, so it pays to reinforce them with wire. Russian ships of the period wore a striking black, white and ocher livery whose sharp divisions are best managed with masking rather than with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
