Mikromir 1:350 Soviet submarine Shch-303 (Shch class, series III) is a plastic kit of a small diesel-electric submarine of the Soviet Navy of the Second World War period.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures a Soviet submarine of the Shch class, popularly known as the Shchuka, meaning pike, in the series III form. The model in the small 1:350 scale suits a shelf as well as a naval display case and does not take up much room. The exact contents of the package are not stated here.
Submarines of the Shch class were the backbone of the Soviet submarine fleet before and during the Second World War. They were small to medium diesel-electric boats intended for patrol and attack service near the coast, committed above all in the Baltic and the Black Sea. Series III was among the first boats of the class built in series and was marked out by a simple, rugged design.
In this scale we recommend careful cleanup of the parting lines and sensitive gluing of the small parts. The hull can be assembled whole; fit the conning tower and the superstructure only after the seams have been filled. An airbrush and dark naval shades suit the finish, and at the end you will appreciate dry brushing of the edges and fine emphasis of the rivets and hatches.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
